Review of E M P Honeymoon
E. M. P. Honeymoon, written by Dorothy May Mercer, is a fiction novel. It is about Kelly and Tom, who spend their honeymoon enjoying themselves on a Caribbean island while trying to stop some terrorists, who scheme to blow up North America. The couple joins forces with a CIA agent and two skilled government agents to prevent the catastrophe. It is a thrilling adventure full of twists with a dash of romance and fun.
The group of Americans’ exciting adventures is what I liked most about the novel. The story develops fast with every new adventure that the main characters embark on. It gets your attention at all times without being superficial. The characters are also really entertaining to read, and they help the development of the story. I think the main reason for this is because they are complex and solve their conflicts during the story. I think they start with a purpose in common, and then they become closer to each other towards the surprising end.
Another aspect of the story that I enjoyed was how the narrator tells the events. Going back and forth with different points of view, the narrator keeps the reader hooked and wanting more. You can read this novel in one sitting and enjoy the thrill of adventure with the characters.
I can’t think of anything that I did not like about this story. The characters, the narration and the editing of the novel seem impeccable to me. I would add that the end is the cherry on top. I could not stop reading until the end, I could not stop thinking of the possibilities.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed it a lot and it was a really fun and exciting experience. It has good editing, and the audio version gives you a better experience. If you have the chance to get the audiobook, I would highly recommend you do so.
I would recommend this book to avid readers, those who like a good adventure with more fun than romance. There are dynamic relationships, fun dialogues and good twists. I think anyone who enjoys reading would love the experience as much as I did. The story has great characters, gradual plot development and a surprising end that will leave you satisfied from the ride of the story. I would especially recommend you read it if you are a fan of science fiction.
