Review of Donte's Erotic Love Stories
“A word or a phrase may seep into your subconscious mind.” quotes Donte-highwater as he presents a short story collection of eight stories. The major theme of Donte’s Erotic Love Stories is an accumulation of erotic experiences of various individuals. Of particular interest is a male author capable of conveying stories from an emotional state of mind. Only three stories are not from a woman’s view.
Unsighted is unique, as it is a blind woman conveying her experience. All of her accounts are descriptive of how she feels the world around her. A lesson unfolds in a pair of stories titled Yes Ma'am Part One and Yes Ma'am Part Two. The location of the stories are in a Dominatrix’s home, and are expressed by a young man. I found several captivating points in this story that could be very persuasive. The way the woman executed control upon her subject was commanding, yet he automatically responded as if he had always lived under a woman’s authority. Finally, the most fascinating story I read was Tina, The Goddess. A therapist who used hypnosis to assist people to overcome traumatic events resigns from her job when the work overwhelms her emotions. Pondering options for work, her best friend suggested opening a private practice involving erotic hypnotherapy. He offers to be Tina’s guinea pig to see her capability to plant sexual suggestions in his subconscious. Could you imagine being under hypnosis and having something so private placed in full view for someone else? How well did Tina manage to test erotic hypnotherapy with her friend? The results are surprising!
There were a few issues I had with the book. I found Denise’s Lovers being an impossible chronicle of polyamory. I couldn’t fathom three men so infatuated with a woman who denied their marriage proposals. Furthermore, the editing of the book is very disappointing; I observed more than ten errors. Likewise, the formatting of the collection is somewhat odd, with all the content centered on pages like poems. None of the book’s tales are poetic in any form.
The necessity of another round of editing is the reason I am awarding this collection 3 out of 4 stars. I am uncertain whether the formatting is intentional, so I did not feel it fully negated a lower score. My opinion about a story may be different from another person’s perspective as well. Some may find the observation relatable in some instances.
I would recommend this book to open-minded mature readers. There are several instances of profanity. The subject of polyamory, light BDSM, and paranormal experiences may deter some readers. The stories obviously contain a high amount of erotica, as the title Donte’s Erotic Love Stories suggests. I will caution potential readers that this is an emotional book and not all the stories end positively.

The stories all had more of an emotional approach to them, which is a different twist to general erotica. I wouldn't call it a romance book because the theme is sexual.Lunastella wrote: ↑05 Dec 2021, 20:43 This seems like an original approach to erotica, which is usually full of cliches and can be mind-numbing after a while. I hope the author takes your comments into account for a more polished edition.
Thank you!

Thank you. I think the way the author described the experiences will speak to a lot of people too.JamesJaphet wrote: ↑06 Dec 2021, 23:10 Lovers of erotics will appreciate this one as it contains an accumulation of erotic experiences. Great review.
