Hemingway's Daughter by Christine M. Whitehead is a historical romance book that talks about the life of a girl called Finn Hemingway. Finn Hemingway is an intriguing character whose goals in life includes been part of her father's life by making him proud, influencing the one thing that really matters to him (his writing) and becoming a lawyer in a time where it's impossible for women to aspire sure. She also intends to overcome the 4 rules that governs the Hemingway family. Her life first takes on a new experience when she is sent to a boarding school in Connecticut where she went through many trails as an independent young lady. These experiences (some of which haunted her as she grew to a woman) where vital in shaping her career. She also had her problems as an adult pursuing her career, coupled with that hundles of her love life and trying to please her father. But with the help of her father, friends and family she was able to prevail and become the woman she wanted to be or close.

One of the first things that readers might observe in this book is how engaging it is. I got so involved in this book and i had a roller-coaster of emotions through out my time on it. Like the way it makes the reader falls in love with riding a horse. Christine portrayed the experience of riding a horse so well that one would begin longing to ride one. The book was also not devoid of suspense as time after time you wondered what Finn would do in almost every new situation she finds herself. Christine was very descriptive of things so much so that one could picture exactly what was going on in the book. The book is also very well edited as I couldn't find any errors through out my read

I have no negative thing to say about Hemingway's Daughter. Though i think it could use some more humor. But other than that i think it's an excellent book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4. It was well edited, it was indulging, it was interesting and i really enjoyed reading the book.

I recommend this book to lovers of history and romance.
