Agatha the Beloved Queen authored by Fred Pilcher sounds like a fantastic read. The premise of this book is likeable and relatable to the real-life situation in the contemporary society, where aristocrats are benefitting at the expense of the commoners. Thanks for this insightful review, it really gave a glimpse of what the book is all about.

An intriguing historical fantasy fiction novel that potrays a strong protagonist character with a zeal to restructure the existing system in her kingdom. Congrats on being BOTD.

I like the line in the book mentioned in the review that all people are important irrespective of their social status. I totally agree with that knowing and believing that everyone holds his or her role in making this world a better place to live by. I admire Queen Agatha' s heart and excellent leadership and I look forward to reading this to see how she rules in Xana. Congrats BOTD!

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I’m not particularly interested in fantasy novels currently, so I think I will pass on this one for now.

I typically like, as the Amazon description calls it, adult fairy tales. A female protagonist who tries to level the playing field among the socio-economic classes is also intriguing, and I don’t mind sexual scenes in fantasy. Between this review and the Amazon description, though, I’m still not sure if it’s for me. Thank you for the helpful review.

I'm always eager to read books with a female protagonist. It's unorthodox and lovely. Thanks for this review and congrats BOTD

I love tales from the medieval past, with queens and kings, horses and their riders, knights and traitors. The situation of Xana isn't so different from what we have now, with the rich getting richer and the poor poorer. It should be interesting to read how Agatha conquers this problem in her kingdom. This historical fiction story features a young queen determined to bridge the wealth gap between the commoners and the aristocrats. The story is realistic, and the author expertly presents the class war, which is the story's underlying theme. The book's sorcery and fantasy elements also make it appealing to lovers of that genre.

The book is a compelling read. Though it has a medieval setting it's life lessons about leadership and governance are not confined to
any particular time or era. Society stands to benefit from gifts of perception, wisdom and compassion in leaders. I like the commitment of Queen Julia to instilling good values in her daughter, a noble duty that all parents must fulfill.
