The devil pulls the string by J.W. Zarek is a fantasy novel about Boone Daniels, a 22 years old warrior bard who lost his parents and dog when he was 6 years old. He suffers from a panic attack and he is being haunted by a wendigo. After he accidentally injured his best friend Flynn, he had to fill in for him at his New York gig. He met Sapphire who is a student at NYU and also Professor Stone's assistant a few moments before he was killed because of Paganini's music piece. Boone's visit to New York City exposed him to adventures of time travel and to meet supernatural beings like Sinti, Baba Yaga, and vampires. Also, he faced his destiny to save New York City from destruction.

The devil pulls the string is interesting and I enjoyed reading the book as it is a perfect blend of fantasy, action, and music. J.W. Zarek did a good job in narrating each scene and character in the book. I love how Boone and Sapphire are dedicated to getting Paganini's music piece to save NYC and his adventure of time travel. Zarek's use of words is well detailed.
I find this book interesting and I could not find any error in the book because it was well edited and the plots are not confusing. I love everything about the book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This is because I like the subject matter and I enjoyed reading the book also it was well edited.

I recommend this book to people who enjoy reading fantasy novels with a perfect blend of music and magic that has a happy ending.

Short and straight to the point, also still retaining the flavor and tension of the piece. The review is comprehensive, great work.

The book was fascinating, although a bit confusing but I guess that's to be expected when writing about time travel, science and magic

The title of the book already got me intrigued, and i must say your review does a wonderful job, from a wendigo to time travel, to baba yaga and vampires!!, This book definitely sounds like a must to read and I absolutely love happy endings. Plus I really wonder how he accidentally injured his friend.
