From a sampling, this seems like an interesting book or collection of poetry in which the author uses art, photographs/images to express the purposes of the accompanying text. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

What a comprehensive review! On the one hand I'm quite intrigued by the concept of a calligram, a picture of words. On the other hand, I'm really not at all interested in reading about couples' intimate escapades. Sounds like a uniquely interesting book though!

Yes, pictures can also be used to express words. I'm glad this review gave me a broader understanding.

I'm not a fan of poetry but the reviewer's words that "each text brings an implicit meaning or interesting wordplay, creating different stories about each picture" sound very intriguing and tempt me to pick it up for at least trying it out. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

A unique poetry book indeed! I’m looking forward to digging into this one to find out what form shapes and pictures Robles can create from the technique calligram. Very interesting and intriguing reading material.

Hmm "Artwords" by Beatrizw M. Robles is a very good book that got me interested in poetry even when I don't really have interest in poetry and prose. your reviews are really amazing I love this

I don't understand the review and I think the only way to get a good description is by reading the whole book. However, I am curious about how the author uses words to form shapes and I am looking forward to reading the book.

I normally don’t read poetry but your review has piqued my interest. The book sounds very creative in its presentation combining words, pictures and the calligraphy format- a term I hadn’t heard of before.

This is a book of poetry with the addition of words as images. This makes the book more fun to read and it is a nice twist on just using words. I was impressed by the technique and would read the book if it was offered for free. For now I am settling for the sample and the very good official review.

Sounds like a unique book. Mixing everyday objects and turning them into poetry. That's very impressive. Great review

An artistic use of poetic prose to tell a story sounds like it would be an interesting way to explore life experiences. The illustrations that are paired with the poems are unique as well. Good review description.
