When the savior rose from the dead, the Acolyte of Truth was someone who was devoted to learning the truth. A young woman named Amanda is featured in this tale, Rise of the Savior. She is just out of high school. It's normal for her to live with her family in a happy, normal way. It is normal for her parents to play games with their kids, but they are also good parents because they make time for it. In Amanda’s family, there is a sister named Siara. Siara isn’t very friendly and doesn’t show any emotions. One day, when Amanda and her father were coming home from karate class, they got into an accident that was very bad. Things have gotten a whole lot better for her since then, too. When she discovers that she's an adherent of the truth, she's doomed.

As for Jamie, he is a doctor at the hospital, and his wife has been cheating on him. Meanwhile, Jamie’s son has a very serious health problem that needs to be fixed. In a bar, Becky gets him to come to her place for comfort. Due to Becky’s actions, Jamie is kidnapped, and in his dream, he meets Chigaru, the deity that makes him an acolyte of death.

What I like most about this book is how Antoine Bonner was able to keep his audience in suspense until the very end. The book talked about a lot of important things, like how we can always look for solutions on the bright side and not give in to the dark. A lot of the characters in the book had different kinds of powers, which I found very interesting. Each person in the story played an important role.

What I didn’t like about the book was the fact that Jamie killed his wife in cold blood, even though they were not on good terms. My guess is that if she were still alive, she wouldn’t have let her son Lucas be away from her for so long. Jamie’s inner demons got the better of him and made him act rationally, taking advantage of his situation. At the cost of which Amanda’s parents died without knowing what was going on, that was annoying. My thoughts were that the harm might have been lessened if Amanda’s parents had lived longer or had had more power. Jamie wouldn’t have controlled them so much.

The book was very well-edited. In this case, I am giving Bonner’s book a perfect 4 out of 4 stars rating. Yet, I won’t be recommending this book to young people because it has gruesome scenes and words that might not be appropriate for them to read at their age. Readers who like anime-style stories about supernatural powers, deities, and good vs. bad battles with funny jokes and good life lessons might like this book. Thanks to Bonner’s book, "Rise of the Savior." It was a great book.
