Nobody truly likes to be alone. People might claim that they're not bothered by the fact that they're always excluded from social activities among their peers, but deep down they're upset about it. Courage the Turtle by Artoine Jones is a children's book that teaches acceptance and love.

Courage Turtle was the youngest of three children born to Poppa Turtle and Momma Turtle in Forest Bay. Unlike his siblings, Speedy Turtle and Shelly Turtle, Courage Turtle was born without a shell. This made him different. He was alienated from others in their residence. He had no friends and was often exempted from social activities, even by his own brother. Because of this, he often cried and found solace in the silence of his room. His mother used to tell him about the fairy god turtle, but he never believed it. One faithful day he had an encounter with the fairy god turtle. He was then granted three wishes. Grab a copy of this book to find out how Courage Turtle uses his three wishes.

This book contains several important themes. Some of these themes include love, selflessness, discrimination, acceptance, etc. The book teaches the reader that it's not right to discriminate just because of physical appearance, because we're all one. It also portrays that peace will always be the best option. Every individual has what he/she is good at. So, we don't always have to focus on one aspect of life. The book portrays this. Speedy's strength was speed; Shelly was beautiful, and Courage was smart.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. The book was written in simple language. The few characters that were used in the book were well-developed. The scenes were also well-developed. My favorite character in the book is Courage Turtle. I love his selfless personality.

The book was exceptionally and professionally edited. It was completely devoid of grammatical errors. The book contains illustrations that make the story more compelling and captivating. The illustrations also help the reader to understand better. Therefore, I'm rating Courage the Turtle by Artoine Jones 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to young children.
