The book has so many positive aspects as mentioned in the review. I especially like the easy to read manner the story is written, and the life lessons woven into the book is such a plus. I totally agree with the lesson “hatred is a waste of time and energy.” I wonder what was behind the kidnappings and if war came between the US and Cuba. Congrats on the BOTD!

Mystery and suspense combine themselves in this fast-paced book. Although this seems like a great book, it's not something that I would read.

Nothing better than a little baseball reading in the offseason. Ms. Gould is a gifted writer; I could tell after reading the first few chapters. Congratulations to her on her achievement and on being awarded BOTD.

The cover of the book is amazing. I must say that it was well-designed to fit the genre of the book. The book also seems to be action-packed and fast-paced as well. I would like to know whether the kidnapping is organized by Guadalupe or not, and whether it causes war between US and Cuba or not. Thanks for this insightful review. It really gave a glimpse of what the book is all about.

Sports stories generally don't interest me but this one sounds very interesting. Baseball is merely the setting for an action-packed thriller. Congratulations on BOTD!

Although I know nothing about baseball, the sample was captivating, with well-drawn characters and an interesting plot. The good review says the novel isn't about baseball, in fact, so maybe I will give it a try.

This is quite a unique storyline. Baseball (a sport I'm not too keen on) mixed with a crime and political angle. I'm curious to know Manny's story and how his past relates with the present. This seems intriguing. Congratulations on the BOTD.

The book seems interesting loaded with drama and mystery. Justin Moore a cultural icon was kidnapped. I would love to know how the title fits in the premise. Thank you for the excellent review.

What a great opening to a story. A star ballplayer named Justin that is at the peak of his game. Was Guadalupe involved in Justin's kidnapping? Why and what will happen to Justin. Guadalupe was definitely involved in the kidnapping of her ex-husband so has she done it again? How will the U.S. react to this evil act? Need to read the book to find out. The official review was very good.

I am not a big fan of baseball, but since this book doesn’t contain too much of the game itself, it might be okay. The way it sounds, this would make an entertaining and thrilling quick Sunday afternoon read. I wonder what it was that Guadalope wanted from Jason? Why was he kidnapped and did he ever make it back home? I like that the story flows smoothly and is well-edited.

Thank you for the lovely review!
