Review of Bitcoin Answered
Bitcoin Answered: A Beginner's Guide To Everything Bitcoin by Jon Law and Alan John is an informative and educational guide on Bitcoin and surrounding matters (cryptocurrency, blockchain, etc). Written in a simple format where the chapter titles are questions and the content of the chapter is the answer to the question, this informative book starts with a simple enough explanation of what Bitcoin is and how it works. Then follows a brief history and origin of Bitcoin which then leads to the evolution and predicted future of Bitcoin. It also includes an explanation of the simplest questions like when to capitalise the word 'Bitcoin' and when not to, and how to explain Bitcoin to a 5-year-old.
Living up to its title, this book is structured in a simplistic manner which would be perfect for a beginner. It starts with the basics, explaining them to the point of leaving no doubts and then steadily proceeds to the more complex questions. The answers are always short, to the point, easy to read and fully informative. The authors have added a detailed contents section at the beginning of the book which makes it easier for the readers to learn about specific topics rather than having to read the entire book. I particularly liked the fact that this book tackles both complex, technical questions as well as lighter, generic questions about topics like conspiracy theories about Bitcoin and Bitcoin slang. After having read this book the reader will be left with no doubts regarding Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. The book is well researched, factually correct and perfectly organised. It involves flow charts, tables and helpful diagrams to give the reader a better understanding of the topics.
There was nothing about this book that I found unnecessary or useless. It educates the reader about all things Bitcoin while also mentioning the few downsides of it and it involves certain cautionary tips as well. It also involves other useful tools, links and resources at the end of the book.
I would give this book 4 out of 4 stars for its to the point interaction and its complete usefulness. The Q & A format used by the authors is well suited for the genre and topic of the book. I found no grammatical errors in this book so it seems to have been well edited as well.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking to get a basic knowledge of Bitcoin and the world of cryptocurrency. This will also be a useful tool for people who want to invest in Bitcoin or start bitcoin mining. It also briefly compares Bitcoin with other cryptocurrency which would give investors at least a general idea of good investment opportunities. Young adults looking to expand their knowledge would also find this book extremely helpful.
