Like the book's title implies, 20 Women for Innovation dwells on the stories of twenty female entrepreneurs in Europe. These stories encompass their discoveries and their path to make their dreams become a reality. These women include Karen Dolva, Josefien Groot, Melanie Rieback, my personal favorite for her futuristic research using artificial intelligence, Anita Schjøll Brede, and a host of others.

Giada Palma's interview with some of the finalists of the annual female entrepreneurship award in Europe birthed this book. It serves as a compass to tons of women worldwide concerning aspirations and goals. While the discoveries of these women might be a bit above average, the book has shown the potential of female entrepreneurs in a male-dominated business world. Giada's line of questioning provides answers to burning issues, especially about women combining their careers and family.

While the foreword of some books is not read because it almost means nothing to the reader, the foreword written by Prof. Dr. Josette Dijkhuizen for this book is captivating. I think this is due to the catchy title — "Jane of all Trades." We're used to "Jack," but curiosity will make the reader want to know about "Jane." I applaud the copywriting skills employed here.

The book is written in the form of a magazine. The structure, organization, arrangement, and colorfulness of a magazine apply to this book, and I find it quite appealing to the eye. This feature alone makes the book very catchy, and one will have no choice but to delve into its content gladly.

I love that this book doesn't bombard the reader with just the inventions and discoveries of these women. Giada may have figured out how boring all of that will be. Hence, she spices it up with their childhood stories and how they resonate with their career paths. From this book, we can know the different stories of these women and their journeys to relevance.

I only have one slight complaint. The introduction part of this book has a repetition of previously added paragraphs. I reckon it is just a slight oversight and does not cause this book to lose its worth.

20 Women for Innovation resonates more with the science geeks. However, it paints a picture for women, where they see that despite how hard it is to be a female entrepreneur, they can still affect the world positively with the right amount of everything. This book gets a complete four out of four stars. The editing is well done; it contains a single minor error. I recommend this book to all women open to changing the world around them.

I'm not going to lie, after reading the book's title, I was already fascinated to know about these women. As a result, this is going straight to my bookshelf. I can also see how a repetitive text could become tedious after a while. Thanks for the review though!
