Unfortunately, domestic violence is still prevalent in the world today, especially in third world countries where the women are conditioned to believe that those are their husband's rights to do whatever they want with them. It's very terrible but we can only hope that with enough education and enlightenment, these women can be helped.AngieOdeh wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 13:36 Do you think sick men like Lena's husband, Joey, exist? I would think that women nowadays are more outspoken and less willing to be treated in that way. What is your opinion?

Unfortunately it definitely still happens today and to my opinion it gets worse. You right when you say women these days are more outspoken than those years. Yet we as women, still have the instincts to try and fix something thats broken. Its in our DNA. Also as the years progressed, its like those type of men became more sly with their methods, on how to 'reel' you in to care too much. They normally are the victim of something that either happened in their childhood or something that happened after that. You as woman then have the need to try and take all the horrible away and make it better. However before you know it, you sucked into the vicious cycle and becomes the victim of their messed up life, where you constantly are in the wrong with whatever you try. I was the victim once, fortunately for me, after 15 years of this, I got out and see myself today as a survivor. There is alot of other women thats not as fortunate.AngieOdeh wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 13:36 Do you think sick men like Lena's husband, Joey, exist? They do exist and so many factors enable them. It can be a weak support system around a woman, poverty, all kinds of factors. But they do exist and women should always be on the lookout for such men. Society too. We must look out for signs of abuse. You never know, it could help someone.AngieOdeh wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 13:36 Do you think sick men like Lena's husband, Joey, exist?
