I've never heard of the Pirahã, but I'm fascinated by their way of life. I agree with a lot of things the author has mentioned in the book. We think we're civilized and lead our life obsessing over materialistic things, but life is supposed to be simple and happy. I'm not a fan of self-help books, but I may check this one out. Thank you for the wonderful review!

I agree with this review. It's really true that due to civilization, the lives of some persons have been affected. Not everyone would be interested in a self help book, but I could give it a try. Congratulations on BOTD.

Wait the author believes that the growth of civilization has a direct impact on the mental health of the person.? That's an interesting idea to read

Studies involving the psychology of the human mind are always intriguing. However, I am not a fan of self-help books. Regardless, congrats on being BOTD.

This self-help book sounds like an incredibly interesting read. I love the fact that the author encourages western civilisation to live in the present in order to live a happier life. Thanks for the review!

While I couldn't even finish reading the sample, finding it very tiring, the review is magnificent. It showed the essence of the book and its flaws, among which the idea that marriage is bad for women. Praising the tribe that lives only in the present, the author should be aware that women decide for themselves nowadays, not like in the past when he might have been right about marriage...

I like how this book explains the truth about what humans require to be happy, and how our civilized way of life forces us to spend the majority of our time doing the exact opposite of what we feel.

"Rediscovery the Wisdom of Human Nature" by Chet Shupe. Usage of time in our personal life is very important that even being civilised, we don't realize it. Freedom as humans is important, no matter the type of job we do. A very interesting book teaches more of life. Congrats on BOTD.

An eye opening self-help book "Rediscovering the Wisdom of Human Nature" by Chet Shupe that brutally attacks the way of life and the interests of today's so called civilized people. I want to read this completely.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This isn't my kind of book so I'll be skipping it. Nifty cover, though. Congratulations to the author on achieving BOTD.

Although I am not really a fan of self help book but I agree with the author that civilization is indeed causing more harm than good. Nonetheless, we cannot undermine the good aspects of civilization and I believe man can be happy if he chooses to.

I always wondered what this world would be like without the rules we humans made, without the mistrust, pride, and ego. And through this book, I found my answer. We would be living in the moment rather than thinking of the moments that are yet to come. This book gives us a deep understanding of the Author's mind and the thoughts which have not been encountered before. It made me think about the life, I am currently living and made me curious about how I can implement "The Law of Life" in it.

This book talks about modern civilization, the good the bad and the ugly, but what I still can't phantom was when he talks about the accent generation making the greatest mistake of their life by not minding what the future holds, and the modern generation still making the same mistake of thinking about the future instead of the present day, congrats to BOTD
