The description and the review don't seem to intrigue me to find out more about the story. Hence, I'll have to to pass on this one. Nonetheless, thanks for such a detailed review.

A genuine account of an Irish immigrant family can be found in the book "Colors" by Samuel J Murray. The story is set in the mid-nineteenth century Irish people's migration to the US.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

The concept of this book is intriguing. It will be interesting to find out how Irish immigrants were different from other immigrants. Thank you for your review.

I'm not fond of non-fiction novels, especially in the historical genre, so I'll be skipping this one. However, Murray's life and the mystery surrounding it sounds interesting. I hope people who like the genre, enjoy the book. Thank you for the honest review!

I enjoy reading historical books. I actually got captivated by the thought of solving the mystery of what happened to the person whom was thought dead in the army. This is a great read for historical book lovers.

I thought the book was too fast paced, thus hindering the reading experience. However, I did find it interesting to read about the Irish immigrant experience and how easy it is to fall into the gang life. Your review summed up the book really well and gave good insight about the plot of the book.

Non-fiction is intriguing to read because they actually narrate relevant and true events. The plights of immigrants have been a tale of misery since ages and I am glad that the author chose it as a plot premise. Politics, suffering, bravery, mystery and various other themes have been intertwined in this gripping tale. Definitely worth a read.

While I do enjoy these type of books I will have to take a pass on this one for now, but I will be adding it on my bookshelf for a read at a later time.

I’d like to see the Murray family’s journey through their time in America. I’ve heard that records regarding immigration at this time were very poor. Is that what happened to William? Thanks for the review!

Immigrants' lives are very harsh. It's impossible to know what they're going through. I'm looking forward to dive into this book. And also, I can't get my eyes off the cover of the book! Thanks for a lovely review!

Unfortunately, I have to admit that trials and hardships experienced by immigrant family are not exactly among the sphere of my interests. My own family's history holds similar episodes and therefore I hardly need more secondhand knowledge regarding the subject. Apologies, but I will have to pass this one.

There is a lot to learn from historical events that our forefathers went through. The part of the book that is intriguing is the mystery behind it how did Murray die if not from the war of Gettysburg. Great detailed review and congratulations on being BOTD.
