This story would be a fascinating story to peruse. regarding the Irish family in the ghettos of Brooklyn. It includes a secret, wrongdoing, governmental issues, passing, and modern battle. Despite the fact that it is a short book, it appears to have pressed a ton of data into its pages. I like the way that the writer incorporated the name, birth date, and passing of the relatives in the book. It would be fascinating to discover how relatives settled the secret encompassing their predecessors. William Murray. I'm interested in knowing the historical backdrop of the Murray family and their movement. Incredible survey.

130 pages??! Too small a number to fit all the generations depicted in the book. Or so I thought. Samuel J. Murray uses almost plain language in this deep dive into his own history and the peoples of Scotland in general. Never having been there myself I can safely say I won't be fresh out of water when I go there. Great non-fiction book to all history lovers.

Decades of poverty, famine, and tragedies would leave any group of ancestors facing insurmountable odds, but it sounds like this Irish immigrant family found a way to stick together and move forward successfully. I look forward to reading this harrowing tale soon!

I don't think this book is something I would enjoy, it doesn't seem like the usual storyline I am used to. The review is nice. I like how the book which is about the history of the Murrays was explained in the review.

Other than enlightening readers on the history of the Murray family, as a history buff, I like that the book gives the history of things like the playing cards and printing presses. Great review.

A novella, not more than 130 pages but possessing a lot, from history, family, mystery to invention. Colors by Murray would truly make an enjoyable read.
Congratulations on your BOTD Murray.

I enjoy reading books about mystery, crime, politics and industrial struggles. Especially if it's a true story. The story of the struggle of three (!) generations of Murrays in the United States, from their beginnings as impoverished immigrants to their rise to wealth, must be interesting. William Murray's story completely caught my attention with its mystery surrounding it.
Hopefully, I will enjoy it as much as you, Barbie_sidhu. Your review is good. It intrigued me.

Thanks for your review. Despite being nonfiction, Murray's story sounds like historical fiction mixed with mystery.

It’s a very heartfelt story told through the voices of individual members of an Irish American family. The story takes the reader through generations of an iconic Irish American family who’s pioneering work culminated in the establishment of this country’s greatest playing card manufacturing company.

Mystery really piques my interest and knowing that this includes unknown history and accounts makes me wanna read it. I'm also up for the 130 pages in one go. Thank you, this is a great review!
