I'm amazed at how the author managed to put all his family members' birthdays in a short book. I like that it contains a genealogical timeline of the Murray's. Thanks for your beautiful review.

The historical books I read a while back helped me to relate with the experiences of people who lived a century or two before me. Thank you for the wonderful review.

While this was a great review , this novel does not look appealing to me. I will be happy to pass it along though. Much congratulations on the BOTD

I always like books with a bit of mystery to it. This book seems intriguing enough and I must add that living as an immigrant can be unbelievably difficult. I believe reading this book will open our eyes to many things that happened through out history. Thank you for an informative review.

Even if the story is about an Irish immigrant family, the fact that their father went missing would be relatable to non-Irish as well. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

This would not only provide a story, it would provide a true story of life, history, culture, and mentality, so we could understand how immigrants feel when they move to a place outside their comfort in hopes to live more comfortably. Thank you so much for your review!

This non-fiction historical book tells the story of an Irish immigrant family. The story of the author's extended family history, the Murray family. The reviewer did her job well. I want to read this book.

Colors by Samuel J Murray offers an interesting account of the Murray family members, and it talks about their struggles, the tragedies, and how they turned rich.

Every year that goes by in the USA, it's easy to forget that immigration is the backbone of what makes America. This biography-memoir reminds us of this vital truth. Great review!

This is an accurate and well-written review. The book is an interesting factual account of an Irish immigrant’s family. Nonfiction fans will enjoy the account, and fiction fans may also find themselves drawn in, since the events detailed are so fantastical.

Love the review! I love historical fiction, as it adds a little flair to what can sometimes be drier parts of history, but the fact that this is a real non-fiction mystery in someone's heritage is so intriguing! I don't know very much about Irish culture so this definitely sounds like something that I would enjoy.

The author indeed has done a great job. Even after mentioning various discrepancies in the book, the reviewer has allotted them 4 out of 4 starts which makes it clear that the book is actually very well-written and amazing. Thank you for a detailed review.

Colors seems like an intriguing historical non-fiction novel about the harsh realities Irish immigrants have had to endure since the mid-nineteenth century. Historical fiction readers should find this book a compelling read as well. Great review.

The stories about Irish immigration as well as their integration into American history, including some of these stories about Gettysburg, sounds amazing.
