While on vacation in Sri Lanka, Inca and her family were involved in a horrific mishap. Big elephants, wild animals, and a terrifying serpent will all be part of their adventures. However, Inca is determined to catch the thieves and return the stolen national treasure, whatever the consequences. Will the family survive and return home, or will the jungle's wild animals eat them?

The storyline itself is what I enjoyed most about the book. It's jam-packed with adventure, suspense, and sleuthing, as well as tons of beautiful animals. There were several surprises during Inca and the family's trip to Sri Lanka. I'm laughing at myself because I'm engrossed in a children's book, but I can't resist but enjoy the delight this book brings to me. It sparked my critical thinking because some of the mysteries in the novel require a little reflection. I also admire many of the pictures, which are beautifully colored. I can also confidently say that the illustrator responsible for this book is well-versed and talented as a visual artist. All in all, this will be a worthwhile investment of your time.

In a similar vein to the previous R.F. Kristi book I've read, titled Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula, I found the many lexical items frustrating for some kids. This was disturbing to me, and I think the author should reconsider it. Many children will be reading this book, and many of them are still too young to comprehend such complex terminology.

The plot, title, cover, lessons, and character portrayal all point to another triumph for the author. Reading this book will be an enjoyable experience for everyone who enjoys a good adventure story. I also detected no errors in this book, which means it was perfectly edited. Hence, I rate this book a perfect 4 out of 4 stars.

This book, titled Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, is an excellent way for parents to encourage their young children, especially those in preschool, to enjoy reading. Each chapter in this book also delves into Sri Lanka's rich cultural heritage, which will serve as new insights for our kids.
