This mystery and adventure story is a great read for me, the author's unique in style in weaving the story make's it seem so real. I was very engrossed in the story that I didn't know when I reached the last page. I love how the characters where portrayed my favourite of them is Sarah.

An engaging and thoughtfully conceived finale to an impressive series.
The author does a fabulous job weaving reality and fantasy, making the fantastic seem plausible. Also, a treat to read something so rooted in the Pacific Northwest, a familiar country. Kick back and enjoy the ride.

I just finished reading the book, and I have to admit it was one of the better books that deal with the chosen genre. Some books tend to miss the mark when it comes to mixing culture into genres that don't fall into the fantasy category, but this one did an amazing job. I loved how the reader was left wondering about the next move of each character as the storyline reached the most exciting parts of the book. I also I like the fact that the author didn't keep the readers waiting when it came it getting to the good parts of the story. I will be reading this story again, and I will put this on the top of my recommendation shelf

I have just finished reading the book and I definitely rate it 4 out 4 stars. The story is quite captivating. I went through the whole range of emotions reading the book. The loses; Tom-Tom, William, Carl, the wins; solving the mysteries in the bear valley, the hidden place, and the marking place. The reflection of culture from the various characters in the story was brilliant. The history and the description of the various places make you want to go there, it was well done. The author's style of creating suspense throughout the book was great.

The only part of the story I was left wondering about was Roger. He seemed to have been part of the scamming that was going on in the mining yet he gets to stay on without seemingly answering to his part of involvement. All in all, I would definitely recommend the book to all who love a nice adventure, mythology, suspense, and thriller books.

Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the tale. As for Roger, yes, he was part of the Buckhorn group, the security head, doing his job as told, and yes he was very much part of the entire artifact plan, so in that sense he was a "bad guy." But he was also a father and he also was up in Bear Valley and saw what happened there, with the bears, and later with Conner and then Jared, and I wanted, at the end, to show that in the end Roger, too, chose to remain on the peninsula, and had a chance to do so. I also wanted to leave the slight opening that maybe Victoria and Roger might start up something, although I also had Henry the geneticist there as well for that purpose.....so, at the end, maybe even Roger finds a form of forgiveness and understanding?

This was a story that was full of suspense. I loved the vivid descriptions of the different scenes. I had a hard time putting this book down, as it was a very gripping story. I enjoyed the adventure into the wilderness along with Sarah’s character. There was nothing I disliked about this book. I recommend Totem to those who enjoy mystery, adventure, and suspense. I read this book 4 out of 4 stars.

I haven't yet finished reading Totem but gladly, I'm halfway through it and I feel like I don't want the story to end. I love the storytelling style of Sheldon because it's loaded with tension and wonder of what's gonna happen next. Plus, I love how he wrapped up the story by his fusion of mystery and adventure which hooked me to turn the pages and discover what's gonna be the fate of Sarah - my favorite character in the book, she's relatable. It's a thrilling read so far. I'd be glad to recommend it to those who love mystery and adventure. Sheldon did a superb book that I can relate with. It's no surprise that when I finish reading it, I'll give it a perfect 4 out of 4 stars. Thumbs up!

The book gives a continued fresh perspective at various points within which end at various stages and begin a new keeping the reader involved, it actually depicts the role culture plays in the background of youths, aged and an array of individuals in the society and how one should be proud of their heritage... it's a very nice and interesting book

Before I saw this book, I had done a little bit of research about totems. There's just an eerie stuff about this concept, and Charlie Sheldon communicated this intentionally using every opportunity he got.

First, the cover design sets the stage for an eerie experience. Then the chapter numbers displayed in between ghostly palms further deepens the eerie nature of the book.

However, I noticed the formatting on my Kindle Reader was a bit messed up. New chapters started in between pages. I want to believe that the PDF looks a lot better.

I'd rate Totem 4 out of 4 stars.

Totem by Charlie Sheldon is a fascinating adventure novel that explores elements of history while also incorporating fantasy as well. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, especially seeing the bravery of the main character, Sarah. I would rate this book four out of four, as I did not dislike any aspect of it.

Charlie Sheldon's writing style and narrative pacing appealed to me. In the suspenseful moments of their endeavor to find answers in Bear Valley, I felt a connection with the characters and felt their strain.

I would highly recommend this book. I really enjoyed the writing style of Charlie Sheldon. I enormously enjoyed how the teenage years were portrayed by the author in one of the characters.

The book looked curiously through the pages, and its audit appeared truly curiously. I enjoyed the sense of looming obscurity depicted on its cover. The story sounded curiously intriguing as well, since I adore perusing secret novels.
