To Mister Pushkin catching criminals, saving lives and chasing mallards or squirrels is just another Tuesday. What would you do if you knew of a certain feline like that? Well come find out by reading Mister Pushkin Turns Over A New Leaf, the second book in Tales of Mister Pushkin series by eccentric with azure coloured eyes and a really good sense of humour. This the journey of a cat, not just any but the only Ukrainian Blue in the country go about his day-to-day life as he struggles with various problems like his never ending rivalry with the Admiral of the mallards or Ms Potamus or anyone who dares to challenge him.If given a choice he would love to spend his days taking long naps, eating smoked salmon and doing some people watching from his place at the window. But alas! it never seems that way when it comes to him.....Follow Mister Pushkin with his kind-hearted owner Klem and his considerate neighbor Emma as they tackle and conquer everything life throws at them.

What I really liked in this book is how it has 12 Tales which can be read by children in a day or two and its easy going story line. And how surprisingly smart and observant Mister Pushkin is and how different he is from his fellow felines. The characters of this book are very likable, even the antagonists.

I don’t particularly have anything negative to say about this book because it is very well written. I rate this book a 4 out of 4 because there are no errors so it is exceptionally well written. There are no profanities and sexual content of any kind. All in all it’s a light hearted good read.

This book can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading the first book in the series to enjoy it more. I would recommend this book to any cat lovers, children above the age 9 as there is some sensitive content like Dolores’s cruel treatment towards the tabby, decapitation and Emma’s faux fur. To sum all it up it’s a really great book and I see no reason for anyone to miss out on this amazing book.
