I am one of those readers who are not much into the topic of reincarnation...but from your review I felt the book has a way of reaching into our souls which I often enjoy getting from each book I sit to read..as you quote from the book that we often forget it is not the body we love but the spirit inside..the quote expresses that part of the book that is speaking to our souls..also the story of David Rockwood's being convicted for murder of his own wife sounds captivating and one full of suspense. Brilliant review!

Normally I would be all about reading a crime novel with a bit of spooky. However, from your review there may be more of a spiritual aspect that would distract me. In that case, I would either be discouraged from finishing or become impatient and start skimming pages instead of fully reading it.

This crime story seems so suspenseful as I read through the murder accusation of David Rockwood. The use of the word “bone-chilling” in this review sparks my interest ! I liked how the characters are described as riveting and the story presents itself to expect the reader to learn about deeper situations . Great review and congratulations on the BOTD

Thanks for your review. I wonder what orcas have to do with spiritual topics like reincarnation, out-of-body experiences and predestination.

The idea of the narrator recounting his life to his other reincarnations is certainly unique. This premise piques my intrigue. Thanks for the review!

I think this one will be a hard pass for me as I don't generally enjoy crime themes. But it seems pretty interesting so I am definitely going to recommend it to those who enjoy such themes. :techie-studyinggray:

One certainly cannot judge this book by its cover art. Souljourner touches on controversial themes like reincarnation and predestination. An open mind is required to enjoy this book. Outstanding review.

I've never read a book where the author seems to be a character in their own book. Seems like a great read and I can't wait to read it. Congratulations on botd. Great review.

I am intrigued that the story begins with the main character admitting to murdering his wife. This makes me want to read the book to see if there will be a big reveal later in the book. I am also curious about the ideas explored by the author though I might not agree with them such as reincarnation. Congrats on BOTD.
