I am not a huge fan of historical fictions but the story line is quite interesting. I might give it a shot because reviewer stressed on it being a short read. I hope it means it's not more than 100 pages. Congrats on BOTD. :tiphat:

Reading your review got me interested in reading the book. Ancient Rome is the perfect scene for great stories of love, power and politics. This story seems like a very interesting one. Thanks for the review and recommendation.

Most short stories don’t seem to contain enough facts or details to keep me interested for long. In addition, I am not a fan of historical fiction. Thanks for the review, though.

Interesting!the novel potrays the themes of love, politics and history which got my attention and the question about Lucius choosing to betray and abandon his father made me want to read the book. I therefore recommend"Two Faces Of Janus" to lovers of politics and history fiction.
It a great review

Character development is essential to the overall outcome of a book. The storyline is intriguing though I'm a little disappointed that the story was open-ended. The two faces of Janis will definitely worth my while. Thanks for the detailed review.

I would definitely like to read a book set in those ancient times. I also want to know how will Lucius succeed when his father is creating so many problems for him.

The review of this book sounds exactly like the book is described by the reviewer. There is an unwavering certainty about the way the reviewer and the author of this book describes the dislikes by describing the likes of not doing what they both don't like. You have given me hope for no-nonsense authors and readers alike. Thank you. Congratulations.

I’m starting to read more historical fiction books and this sounds like a wonderful book. I love short stories but I’m not sure about the open-ending. Thank you for this review.

I'm not a fan of historical fiction, especially with political backgrounds. Even though I am fascinated by the setting of ancient Rome, I don't think I'd be able to read this book, so I'll be skipping it.
