The book has a nice setting of ancient Rome and also the way the author blends love with politics makes the book more captivating and interesting to read. The issue of Lullus sounds so suspenseful...

Lucius needs the sponsorship of Emperor Augustus Caesar. But his father, Lullus, is alleged of committing adultery with his daughter. The Emperor also thinks that Lullus wants to overthrow him. Congratulations on BOTD!

Being the god of crossroads, transitions, and duality—among other things—Janus sounds like the perfect symbol for a short story about a political conflict in Ancient Rome such as the one involving Lucius, his father Lullus, August Caesar, and August Caesar’s daughter Julia. Every character’s decisions can—and will—affect the outcome, including the fate of Lucius’s political career. Of course, knowing Ancient Roman politics, that’s probably not all that’s at stake by the end of the story. Thank you for the helpful review.

Historical fiction is not something I normally read. I read through this entire book and did not plan on it! I had no idea that politics in Rome were so complex. Thanks for the review! :)

A historical fiction highlighting the themes of love and politics. Genre fans will enjoy the Roman empire background and find out if Lucius got the sponsorship of Emperor Augustus Caeser or if his father's actions destroyed his ambition. Thank you for your great review.

My favorite Shakespeare playwright is Julius Ceasar. This review even mentioning Lucius & Ceasar had me from the go. I will absolutely enjoy this little piece of literature.
