The book having a twofold use is an interesting aspect from a memoir and the review is very attractive. Would like to check out the language approach mentioned so definitely reading the book.

An inspiring memorial "Nakhon Phanom" by James I. Jouppi, which shares the author's experience while working as a volunteer in a peace program. I want to read this one.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Today's BOTD is a memoir in which James shares with readers his life-changing experiences while volunteering in Thailand as part of the Peace Corps program. Those who love personal stories about overcoming challenges and personal growth, as well as those about travel, adventure, culture, and even a bit of romance will definitely want to give this one a try!

Too bad about the errors....I really hope the author takes your advice to get the book professionally edited. This sounds like a really exciting read, and I've added it to my WTR list! Thank you so much! GREAT review!! :-)

I wonder how James fairs with his new love, and if it works out. Working at Peace Corps seems like an eye opener with all the factors like language barriers, societal challenges, irregularities, and corruption. Seems like an interesting read. Congratulations on the BOTD.

I am not a fan of memoirs, but I am interested in the part with Automated Language Growth. To overcome language barriers, this would be a useful tool. Good honest review.

This Peace Corpse Program is new to me, so it will be informative to read this book and find out what it is about. Also, the "Automatic Language Growth" sounds interesting.

I'm not into memoirs and I'm not interested in this topic so I'll pass. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for the review, since the sample was quite difficult to read till the story really began. The dictionary proved useful and the plot is convincing (yes, I know it is a memoir so it should be convincing, being true). A love story set in the wrong place and time- quite interesting.
