This book about the memoir of the author sounds like an interesting. The new language technique sounds fun too.

First of all, I'm intrigued by the name of the book. I'm curious to find out why James I. Juoppi called this memoir, "The Domino That Did Not Fall" I'm also looking forward to learning about the Natural Language Approach program. Great review

I’ve known about the Peace Corps for as long as I can remember. I didn’t know there was so much corruption in it, but it’s not really that surprising now that I think about it (especially after looking further into some “criticisms” against them). It would be interesting to read from a volunteer’s perspective what went on as well as what volunteers actually do—or did, back in the 1970s—in the Peace Corps. The author’s story of falling in love with a Thai girl sounds intriguing as well. Thank you for the helpful review.

The more that you learn,
The more places you'll go.

I love that the book was educational. But, it would only appeal mostly to those that are aware of that peace program. Thanks for a honest review. Congratulations to the author on winning Book of the day!

I have never come across a book that speaks of the experiences of someone involved in Peace Corps. Would love to read this book centering Jim Jouppi as the plot seems quite unique.

Love can completely change one's plan like how it did to James when he wanted to visit home. I also think its my first time of seeing the Peace Corps Program, another reason for me to delve into this book.
Congrats on making the book of the day. Great review.

The book sounds interesting but being a volunteer peace corp is not my idea of adventure. I would pass on this one.

I don't know much about the peace corps so I think it would be interesting to read the author's account of being in the peace corps in Thailand. I am curious to find out if he decided to stay permanently since he fell in love with a local. Congrats on BOTD.

Great review! I'm really excited about this book. I'd love to learn more about Thailand and the peace corps program. I'd also like to know the authors story. Hopefully it'll be further edited to rectify the errors mentioned.

I am imagining how possible and easy it would be for Jouppi and the Thai girl he falls in love with. I would like to know how he combined his mission and love life. Thanks for the review.
