I'm glad this intriguing crime thriller can be read as a standalone despite being the fourth in the series. The great characterization, vivid descriptions and a cocktail of witch doctors, the dark web, child abduction, human trafficking, murder, opioids and romance make it a must read. Thank you for your great review.

This sounds like an interesting book with a host of characters and moving parts. Since this is the 4th book In the series, I would like to start with the first book and then get up to this one. Congrats on being BOTD!

This is an exciting book that is the 4th book in the Chemist series. This crime thriller involves a contract psychotherapist and a detective that is put on suspension for shooting a witch doctor in his house. Detective Cale van Warring and forced to see the psychotherapist. His girlfriend Maggie is pregnant and the person the impregnated her may be the man who drugged, kidnapped and raped her. Enter another character that has developed an opiod drug that does not affect the respratory system and could save millions of lives. Excellent character development and a thriller readers do not want to put down. Good review.

Murder mysteries are not my thing, so I will likely pass on this one. I find it heartwarming that the husband wants to keep a child that he knows may not be his; it is hard to find men who would be accepting of a situation like this. I don't blame them though. Thanks for the review!

This book sounds like an interesting crime thriller with a very much more interesting name. Cale's life seems to be going downhill with a pregnant girlfriend and the murders. I would like to know how this story progresses. Congratulations on BOTD!

This book is a type of crime thriller book that is very different from the previous one, this crime thriller story involves many characters with a plot that has been arranged very complex and also full of mysteries, I like mystery stories that have a very good storyline!

This book seems as though it has a good mix of crime, mystery, and personal drama. The witch doctor and voodoo sound intriguing as well, if the author is not completely reliant on stereotypes for their depiction, particularly for the voodoo religion. If stereotypes aren’t heavily used, I might read the series (I don’t like reading books in a series out of order if I can help it). Thank you for the helpful review.
