Review of Pig-tastic Adventures of Daisy and Ollie Pig
We are defined by how we react and respond to life, not by what happens to us. Pig-tastic Adventures of Daisy and Ollie Pig by Gaby DeGroat is a children's book that will not only bring tears to your eyes but also inspire you to achieve whatever you set your mind to.
Life was going well for little Ms. Daisy Pig and her twin, Ollie Pig. They both had wonderful parents and a home they could always go back to after playing. However, things took a bad twist after their parents didn't return home. They now had to take care of each other. Things got worse when the owner of the cabin they stayed in came and chased them. They had no other option than to spend some of their nights in the wild. How are these two little curly-tailed pigs going to survive? Grab a copy of this book, this is an adventure-filled book.
I must say, I enjoyed every bit of this book. The author kept me guessing what could happen next. Curiosity didn't allow me to sleep till I was reading this book. This book clearly shows why working together as a team helps us achieve more in life. I wasn't a fan of pigs before I read this book, but I can say that after reading this book. I can't wait to read this to my younger siblings.
There was nothing to dislike about this book. The author's style of writing was awesome. As much as the story was told from Ms. Daisy's point of view, I found Ollie to be my favourite character. Hank was another character. His compassion for animals made me like him. I think any child who reads this book will understand the importance of working as a team.
I would love to give this book a perfect 4 out of 4 stars rating. The book had only three errors, which didn't affect my reading. The book was professionally edited. I would love to recommend it to people who love reading children's books.
