Poetry for those in love

THE Gamble

You should see this girl that I just met
With cinnamon eyes you’ll never forget
Slender and smooth she slinks when she walks
A gentle tigress it was me that she stalked
I couldn’t hide, I had nowhere to go
I was tranced, then captured, it was all her show
How could this possibly happen to me?
I was on guard, but in trouble it seemed
My freedom in jeopardy, my life on the line
The problem was she was so super fine
I fought off the others, I kept my wit
One time I felt danger that my freedom was forfeit
But nothing like this, she ranked the top
Her weapons, her power, impossible to stop
Then I knew what to do and gambled my heart
She threw in some chips and that’s a start
I had all the aces but she never knew
I was a player and knew what to do
So I threw in my cards and gave her the pot
Then I gave her my life, right on the spot
I lost the game and won the prize
Now I’ll spend my life in those cinnamon eyes.

"Dance Me To The End Of Love"

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic 'til I'm gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We're both of us beneath our love, we're both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love

Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I'm gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
