If your observation that scientific bases for the relevance of emotional intelligence in the workplace equals the absence of evidence, then I wouldn’t give the book a perfect rating. But I do take the point about the influence of emotions on business relationships.

This book seems like an enlightening read. It’s especially fascinating to learn that a high IQ needs to work in tandem with a high EQ for the best career or business growth. Brilliant publication and equally brilliant review. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your insightful review. I'm glad that EQ talk is gaining popularity. Emotional intelligence will not only foster growth in the workplace, but also improves human relationships generally. As such, I think it is a great skill to be honed.

Great review, I think this book is informative and quite useful. And I agree with this book. In modern times, the success of a person's career or business depends not only on his intelligence but also on how that person manages his emotions as well. So, emotional intelligence is necessary and a key to build a career or business. Without a good emotional intelligence people will only work for themselves.

I would say that high EQ is important in every aspect of our lives but especially in our careers, which typically make us interact with other people constantly. This seems like a good book for anyone who’s struggling with emotions in the work place, although I would personally prefer if it referenced scientific research to back its claims as well as personal experiences. First-hand experience is great, but seeing that there is a scientific basis for it makes it better. Thank you for the helpful review.
