If I were to rate my book, right now, I would give it an "excellent" in some areas, and a "pretty darn good" in other areas, and a "needs a do-over" in other areas. Oh what a gift life is, if we look at what we've done with our life with rigorous reality. Thank you for allowing me to participate in this forum :) Rob

If I were to rate the book, pretty sure I'll give it a 4.
The book was excellently edited, and it also contains so much information; enough to make you reflect on yourself and figure out the correct steps to take to improve your productivity.

I was not initially interested in the book, but I decided to read it all the same and I surprisingly liked it. I think it will always be a bit difficult for me to get behind certain concepts in the book but the overall message or positivity and the exercises included really resonated with me.

This book has intriguing content. It is a book that challenges us to be a better version of ourselves. I only disliked the repetitions made. The author's style was simple. I would recommend this book to self-help enthusiasts.

Time will come in each and everyone of us, when we're no longer at the back seat to have the steering wheel, a hand and a foot on the brakes, while eyes on the road. This self-help book reminds me of the saying "Mind over matter", being simplified, one way through intelligible questions that no one could ever answer for you but you.
May this also be of great help for others as it did for me.

Tell me who won't find this book entrapping. One that implores readers to be a better version of themselves. To be enthusiastic about the affairs of life. This is definitely a great read. I must give that to the author.

It's great that this book made many think differently about their lives. Unfortunaltly, I'm not a fan of self-help books and this one is no different. I only reviewed this book because of the great reviews I found about it. However, I was extremly bored while reading as many parts were redundant. I felt that some of the mentioned examples and metapors were kind of absurd as the one of the two caterpillars and one of the redwood seeds. The story that I liked most is the one about the orphaned eagle.

As the author of this book, I have come to realize that my opinion about my book, or my opinion about anything, for that matter... is very much affected by my mood in the moment. When a book strikes me in a way that is uplifting, my opinion is glowing. However, if the book darkens my mood, my opinion of the book plummets. It's interesting to notice my mood, about anything, and then notice my opinion about that thing :) Our opinions and moods match up marvelously, have you noticed? Thank you for your continued feedback, I am growing from all of that. Rob

I loved this book so much. Overall, I can gladly say there was nothing nothing I disliked about The Maestro Monologue by Rob White. Almost everyone of us can agree that there is an intruder in ourlives which we need to deal with, destroy if we have to in order to reached our full potential and experience the real us. After reading this book I was inspired to do better, to think better and most importantly, to refuse to be controlled. I rated it 4 out of 4 stars.

I totally enjoyed this book, having read it sometime back. I loved the way the author narrated the book. It was engaging and pushing and led me to want to jump up and embrace the changes. It is a book I would recommend that everyone reads. I disliked nothing about it.

Hyacinth Bella wrote: 02 May 2022, 08:58 Compared to the other self-help books that I have read, this wasn't THAT boring. There are parts that I have slaved through, but this is different from the other self-help books I have read. The exercises help me think thoroughly.

But I do think that some parts are repetitive, and some parts are overcomplicating things just to seem inspiring, like finding fault in something that's true nature. For example, on the child who experienced a no. I think it got complicated on that part, because saying no to a child is natural, and it's natural for them to learn in that way. I think saying no is something that's okay, rather than them being harmed just to learn.

In terms of the cover, I really liked it. It's very simple and minimalist.
I totally agree with you. I was bored while reading because of these repititive parts. I also believe that the part about how detrimental saying "No" to children is completely wrong and with no supporting evidence whatsoever. Children learn from their various experiences and saying "No" in some instances is just essential. You won't let a child put his or her hand in fire because you are afraid of the negative effects of saying "NO".

I didn't read this book all these while until it became the book of the month. It's a great motivational book. I love it for it's ability to encourage one to stay positive and have a positive mindset, a very powerful tool to keep one going. Thanks to the author, I can now practice some of the ideas I got from the book including the seven days challenge, and the to- be list. I really love these.
