I find it weird how this scientist will create devices that will make them communicate with dead people. I guess I have to read the book to have insights on that. Thanks for the detailed review.

A book about using scientific research to connect with the paranormal sounds intriguing. I think it is something I would enjoy. Thank you for an excellent review!

Science and especially discoveries fascinate me. I'm curious if he developes the device that he has in mind. And there is also the relationship with Elisabeth.
Wonderfull review!

This is a very insightful review. For a moment, it was as though you were present too at that time. The characters as described are very humane. To nurture talent as indicated by the support of Elias shows how far people of that era were willing to go to better their lives then and the ensure continuity. This review gives a glimpse of what hard work goes into support of science and innovations. Hope to read the book one day.

Harry, a boy of seven years old with such great ability and potential? This sounds like an interesting storyline and a book I would want to dive my nose in. Great review!

Harry's life was hardly smooth, I really hope the tide turned for the better in his life. He deserves happiness.

Your review is superb. Thank you. The theme of war and it's negative effects is Kaufman's reminder to the world that war is not an option. Harry loses his best friend, Drew to World War I, and also loses his foster father, Mr Brympton while away. Even Harry himself got wounded. And then we have the multitude of deaths and destruction brought by the war. I wish humanity learns an important lesson from this.
