I'm not really a fan of historical fiction, so I'll probably pass on this book.

A book centered on great themes of self-growth, friendship and family. I'm already curious about the characters just by reading the review. Congratulations on BOTD.

This is an in-depth, honest review. Star and Thatcher's plight is a reflection of what many orphans pass through in the society; often changing environments and often exposed to many negative, dangerous influences.

The first few pages of this book were very engaging and somewhat whimsical. I love good character development, and I’m interested in the themes. This definitely sounds like a worthwhile read. Thanks for the recommendation!

A touching young adult novel "The Dream Keepers" by Linda Keen, which is based on themes like self-growth and friendship. The story is about two orphaned siblings, whose custody changes from one set of grandparents to another. lovely book!

I like stories where the characters are well-developed and continue to grow to be their authentic self. Integrating social issues from current events is a plus with adding to a realistic story, and I think will add to connecting with the characters. Great review!

I'm looking forward to reading this book. I'm curious about the erratic artist/grandmother and how she influences the children. I enjoy stories that have artists in them. I'm also curious about the dream element of this book. I'm hoping it's more like fantasy than mere dreams.
