Review of Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula
Nowadays, many people do watch cartoons but don't have the zeal to read children's books. Age shouldn't be a barrier to making you neglect children's books. There are some children's books you read as you get older. You will be amazed by them. Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is one of those books that captures the reader's mind.
Inca, the Siberian kitty, and her family are off to South Korea with their human mom, Missy. She has created a new cheese which she named "La Créme de la Créme." Missy has been invited by the French cookery school, Le Cordon Bleu Cookery, to be one of the four judges of a cooking competition between North and South Korean chefs. Missy also sees that as an opportunity to present her new cheese. On their journey, the cats befriend a Korean dog named Baram and his master, Ye-Jun, who was their tour guide. Ye-Jun was searching for his long-lost sister and her cat named Bo-Mi, living in North Korea due to governmental restrictions. Despite the danger involved, Inca and the team decided to help Ye-Jun look for his sister. Do Inca and her team help Ye-Jun reunite with his loved ones? Grab a copy of this book to find out.
This book is really one of a kind. It’s been a very long time since I read something that literally took my attention away from everything else. The plot of the book was well-structured. The setting was also well-detailed. The characters were all interesting and well-developed. The book contained suspense that made me not take my eyes off it when reading. I applaud the author for her creativity and imagination. This book would be a perfect idea for an animated movie.
In my opinion, there is absolutely nothing I disliked about this book. The book was an easy read for me. The author used simple and concise words in the book. The book shows themes like teamwork, selflessness, courage, and love from the characters. I liked the scene when Fromage and Terrance stopped Missy's envious rival, Enzo, who was also a judge in the competition that stole Missy’s new cheese. It showed how courageous they are. The storyline was easy to understand. The pictures are bright, colorful, and expressive, which will make kids reading the book love the characters more.
I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book was a pure pleasure to read. I found no errors in the book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to teachers, parents, children, and also to people who love reading mystery stories.
