Review of E M P Honeymoon
E M P Honeymoon is an espionage story that unfolds on an island off the northeast coast of Honduras in Central America. The two lovebirds, Kelly and Tom, choose to spend their honeymoon here because it is affordable. These two did not know what was in store for them. During her tour of the local venues and shops, Kelly wandered so far away from the tour bus, and this is when she discovers an unusual looking gift-shop. Her curiosity made her come upon a suspicious high-tech lab, where she is almost caught but manages to escape unharmed. This story is about how Kelly, Tom, and an organized secret team of investigators intercept and stop a terrorist attack on North America.
I enjoyed reading this book because I had previously read Cynthia and Dan Cyber war. These two books are both written by the same author Dorothy May Mercer. She has written a series of the McBride action novels. I was happy to come across these two characters again, Cynthia and the handsome Sky Eastman. I like how the secret team of investigators were all accomplished women and could fight too. The lengths that a spy goes to for a mission are quite impressive. As you read, you'll get to meet the character Su-jin who has gone above and beyond to make the mission of Dear Leader successful. This book is also knowledgeable, and you also get to learn about solar flares and electromagnetic pulse. The author has taken her time to explain about solar flares and what could happen when it happens.
There is nothing I disliked about this book. I found the book thrilling, and I will reread it. Before I decided to read this book, I thought it was a scientific story because of its cover page. I am glad I read it.
E M P Honeymoon is written in a third-person narrative and has a total of 223 pages. It is a combination of spying and action, making it a fast-paced thriller. This book is mind-boggling and will keep you interested until the end. I would recommend this book to youngsters from the age of 12years, and adults. They must be individuals who fully appreciate espionage and good action stories. The character development of this book by Dorothy May Mercer is impressive. It is easy to follow the characters and their role in the story. I cannot say that there is a main character because most of the characters here play a role to accomplish their mission. The editing in this book is professional, with zero errors.
I award E M P Honeymoon a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because the flow of the story is exceptional, and the character development is astounding and easy to follow.
