"End of the Last Great Kingdom (The Brimstone Chronicles Book 1)" by Victor Rose. An interesting book, has all the features of just of watching action magical movies. Talks about magic, action. Leaf a merge student has no magic which there is every possibility of his removal from the school. Congrats on your #BOTD.

This is quite the elaborate review you've given here. To hear that a book featuring kids, ages 10-15 has elements of game of thrones certainly bothered me, but I understand people have their preferences and regardless, I'd still read it for the action and adventure.

I loved this book. I read it a couple of days ago, it was so good in my opinion. I would definitely recommend it to others. My favorite character was Heat.

Sounds better in your review than in the description given. I always passed over it before. Now I’ll give it a try.

I like that the history of this world was concisely explained in the introduction, giving us a bit of background of the different races. It's interesting that the enlightens are both oppressed and consider themselves superior. I enjoy fantasy novels now and again, but this one might be a little too dark and intense for me. Nonetheless, I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it. Thanks for the detailed review!

I share the same sentiment with the reviewer that it is awkward to have a character of that age play should a role. However, overall, I found the storyline very intriguing. Congrats on being the #BOTD!

Shenila Ginabay wrote: 11 Jun 2022, 07:59 I liked how you said that this book is Harry Potter meets Game of Thrones because I like them both. Well, I am very into fantasy novels and this books looks interesting, but I have to agree with you: thinking that these early teens dealing with things like murder and rape is a bit much. But I would give it try because the story does really match with the kind of books I like to read.
I'd have to disagree. Although the subject matter is dark, "pre-teens" already know about these things, and they have questions. Books are a safe place for them to gather context.

Firstly, this review is exciting while reading it. I can't imagine a child of 10 to 15 years getting involved in different vices. It's off-putting for me too. But maybe the author has a silent message he is passing. I will like to read this book to have my perspective on it. Kudos to the reviewer.
You are yet to be the best version of yourself. Keep refining.

It is an epic and fantastic story. For those with high level of imagination, it is a good read. However I also don't like the idea of the three young friends being engaged in violence despite their age.

This story seems so imaginary and unrealistic, no feasible real life applications. Thanks for a detailed review. Kudos.
