Life is complex and unpredictable. A particular incidence can chang one's lifestyle and aspirations forever. David's story is such a sad one. Could it be the morphine first administered to him at the hospital that exposed him to drug use?

I don’t know if we are to blame the hospital for trying to relieve his pain. It’s all messed up, got addicted to a drug through an accident. I hope the rest of his family finds their peace.

The Last Stop by Patricia Street is a powerful book for so many reasons. A parent sharing her experience on how the effects of drug addiction affected her child and her family, and how she was able to cope with it. Sad and tragic but she put through it at the end. I can't imagine how painful it must have been to share her experience and the loss of her son as a result of drug addiction.

Being an addict is not really a good thing for sure. The book sounds amazing and I think this book will be a great impact to so many that would get it. Thanks for the review

"The Last Stop" is such a compelling memoir. Its poignant and reflective nature got me. I wish the author and her family continued healing and strength. Her experience is sure to help others in similar situations. Congrats to Ms Street on a powerful BOTD. Splendid review.

Many unfortunate things can happen in hospitals. It’s too bad that David had to experience addiction.

I am sorry that the author had to suffer so many sad experiences due to her son's addiction. I am sure that this book can help fellow families that look after someone who is addicted to drugs.

The effects and repercussion of substance abuse in our society today cannot be overemphasized. There needs to be more awareness on this topic. I can only imagine what David would have gone through.

This book is a mother's story about her son and his struggle with substance abuse. It offers a glimpse into the life of an addict and their immediate family. What started out as pain management led a young man into a life that brought pain and sadness to him and his family. I hope his family continues to heal. Thank you for your candid review.

It is crazy the effects addiction can have on one and the people around them. I like that in this book, the author has laid everything bare. This would help readers understand what his situation truly looked like. Congratulations on BOTD!

Abuse of substance is a very serious topic and I’m glad that she stood by her son and did this for him. This is a really interesting story.

It is so difficult to deal with children who are addicts. I can relate to what Patricia Street had to go through.

I am a recovered addict myself. My family never knew, if they did they never said anything. My aunt was worse then me. My oldest sons father died from an overdose. I have only read a sample of this book, but I will be reading the whole thing. My heart goes out to the author as well.
