Relationships are one of the important aspects of human life. They require constant care and nourishment to bloom and grow. But what if you neglect it to the point where it breaks? Would you keep your ego aside and try to mend your relationship, or would you let it go? Keeping this as the basis, the author Vincent Fudge ll has written the book, Smart Love, where he talks about his love life and his relationship with his wife.

This is around 190 pages long that has around 12 chapters in it. This book started with the author saying that he was charged with a domestic violence case when he had abused his wife due to his temper issues. He then described how his relationship was with his wife Ebony, and all the ups and downs they had to go through. He particularly mentioned that the charges laid on him made a huge impact on their married life. Then on, the author tried various measures to save their relationship and bring the spark into it. So, if you are interested in knowing the author’s secrets, then you will have to read this book.

I admire the author’s courage and decision in writing this book. He has bravely shared the details about his married life and the mistakes that he made to help others improve their relationship with their partner. What I liked the most about this book is that the author has given reasonable solutions to almost every couple problems which are highly appreciable. Another thing that I found helpful was the key learnings and takeaways that he summarised in the end, especially the “SMART love activities.” One of my favorite parts of this book is when the author describes “Ebony falling asleep holding her Elijah baby bump.” This is just one example of the author’s pure emotions towards his wife.

Overall, I had a good time reading this book. There is nothing much that I disliked about it. But for me, it would have been better if it had the table of contents as it would have been easy to navigate. This book seems to be well edited as I did not find any errors while reading. With that being said, I rate Smart Love 4 out of 4 stars. I have no strong reason to rate this any lower.

This book does contain profanity and obscenity. I highly recommend this to couples who are having marital discord and those who are on a verge of getting separated. This book is also suitable for those who are interested in creating a better bond with their partners.
