War and Peace....Les Miserables

What are everyone's opinions on these classics? Trying to decide which to read next.

Les Mis is way better. If you are going to read Tolstoy, read Anna Karannina. War and Peace was good, but it was a tad long. Les Mis is simply amazing, just get through the first 100 pages or so and you will be hooked.

War and Peace is my Everest. I frequently attempt to torture myself by reading it. It is a book full of long-winded discussion. I know it is a classic and I appreciate certain aspects of it and the writing style contained within its pages.

I decided to start War and Peace since I had quicker accessibility to a copy of it. So far I'm 150 pages in and it is good, but a little slow. I haven't reached the point where I "can't put it down", although I did have a good session yesterday.

I'll definitely read Les Mis next. Although it may take a month and a half to read War anf Peace. lol

I'm from Russia. And War and Piece is a greatest Russian book. All the people have read it in school.

I agree with flashgordon, I enjoy Les Mis. much better.

Les Mes is the lesser of two evils. But in all fairness, I couldn't even finish war and peace. Must've picked it up a dozen times or so, never getting more that 60% of the way through.
