The transcendence from personal to a study of loss, love, and religious belief is the best and most appealing part of the book for me. I'd also love to have a comprehensive idea of how Richard dealt with his loss.

I liked the idea of sharing ' the Intensity of Love and Memories of Wife and daughter ' even after their departure!

The book is interesting. Life is hard; it is when your child is young and her mother dies, It is humiliating to face the tragedy of life alone. Congratulations on BOTD.

It was heartbreaking. This book is very touching, full of emotions. This is not a story journey that can be considered easy. I love it, from the cover to the story behind it. Precise and alluring. Makes me want to read it. Your review is so clear and good, thank you.

The book is like a memoir of sorrowful experiences spanning 3 generations. Seems like a book packed full of life's lessons.

Richard's story is heart-rending but I'm glad he chose to share both the sorrowful & joyful memories of his life with his little granddaughter, & readers are going to learn about perseverance & strength from this book.

I love memoirs and biographies, and this open letter sounds heartfelt and memorable. It's noteworthy of the author to consistently write about his beloved wife and daughter about everything else in his life even after their deaths. Congratulations on the BOTD.

There's just so much for one person to bear. Losing your wife and daughter to cancer is a real sad situation. I commend the author for summoning the strength to write about this.

I feel so sorry for Robert after reading what happened to his family. Cancer left him without a loving wife and a daughter but am glad he's left with a grandaughter to remind him of them. I would love to read about this letter to Abigail. Congratulations to BOTD!

This book pulls a lot of emotion. It is always not easy losing a loved one and we never get to receive a satisfying answer for the loss. I'm glad the author was able to pull through life notwithstanding.

Dear Abigail by Richard Rees is a sad memoir with a sense of humor in it. this is a good book for lovers of family stories.

Today's BOTD, "Dear Abigail" by Richard Rees is really an emotional write up. The author worked on relieving himself the burden of various thought about the death of the wife and daughter to ovarian cancer by sharing the story to his grand daughter, Abigail and a wider audience. People should learn to share there burden because it helps in emotional and psychological healing of painful experiences. Nice review.
