This was an emotional read for me. The author really experienced turmoil. I salute the author to put this into writing. I'm glad that he still had positive memories amidst all these. Congrats on BOTD.

This book comprises a sensitive topic of our lives - it talks about the truth of life "death". The author lost his wife and daughter to cancer; he wants to understand why God did this. Thank you for the succinct review!
The disappearance of the word "I am" is indeed the highest happiness! :)

Thank you for sharing your review with us. This book sounds incredibly sad. I am looking for lighter fictional reads at this time, so I think I will pass on this one for now.

I would need a tissue for this book if I were to read it.

The opening paragraph of the review tells clearly that the tragic nature of this book. One can imagine the pain someone can experience seeing his or her beloved one being consumed by the disease that troubles one's soul. This book may make a good read.

I appreciate the author took the time to write the book to his granddaughter.
He also lifts his gaze and addresses the wider audience.
These tragedies will strengthen his faith and relationship with God.
You feel with the writing of this book, with it's humour (grace) under difficult circumstances. Although he doesn't understand why. He has come to accept the situation.
This is his story, both to his daughter and the public about the way those tradgies effected and challenged him.
It made him re-evaluate his fath, relationships.....
So the world exits. We enter it and ingrain it with that 'loving polish' and invest it with our dreams . We say goodbye to the world. Leaving behind memories.......... and a better world.

Cab we question God? Why do some people get an overdose of tragedies. I really feel for the author. May God help Abigail through life. This is an emotional book and review.
