Windowsill Orchid Growing by Susan Makar talks about Orchids. Orchids are one of the most beautiful and delicate flowers. They need a lot of work to grow and maintain, but the outcome is worth it. My favourite orchid flowers are those that emit a cocoa-smelling aroma. In the book, I have learned a few tips about how I can best take care of my favourite flower. The book has ten chapters, including an introduction and a conclusion. Throughout these chapters, the author has been able to put across very valuable information about the ins and outs of growing orchids.

As I read in the book, orchids are very delicate flowers. They need serious attention, which is sometimes costly and time-consuming. In the book, the author spoke about which type of orchid is suitable for which type of environment. This is very crucial because the environment of the flower matters in its lifespan. The book talked about watering, temperatures and fertilization among other key factors that are important.

What I liked most about the book were the refreshing, beautiful pictures that the author put at the beginning of every chapter. I love flowers and I think they are beautiful. This was a nice touch to an already beautiful book. Learning about flowers has been refreshing. This book was also very informative. I have learned quite a lot from the purchasing of a blooming or a yet-to-bloom orchid and what to look out for in its raring.

I have no negative thoughts about this book. I think it was well edited and well written. This is because while reading through the book, I did not spot any grammatical issues or issues of editing. I liked the pace that the book was written. The author begun it from the moment one thinks of getting an orchid to the investigation with guidance on what to look for to take home and the rest that follow. This was very impressive because it left no stone unturned.

I would rate this book as 4 out of 4 because I have learned a lot from it. The book was very refreshing and informative. I also liked the fact that it was easy to read, and it was also not a long book. I would like to recommend this book to florists. This is because it has information about floriculture and the growth of orchids. Anyone who loves growing flowers, especially orchids, even on a small scale or just in the house, can learn a lot from it.
