Yes! A self employed entrepreneur should put a little bit of money away for retirement. Being smart with what you make can mean a difference in a financially free retirement or a retirement that requires you to keep working.

Retirement to me is a stage where everyone must accept in their work life. Whether a civil servant, a private organization employee and even the entrepreneurs. I think age is the basic element that force us into retirement, it reaches a time that even the entrepreneur becomes less active and less industrious, they need fresh blood and new experience to keep their business a float. This to me as a factor require the entrepreneur to design structures in the work system that would keep the business running independent to his or her retirement.

I think an entrepreneur should retire when he leaves his business on the right hands to ensure that the business is well managed and therefore the business should keep on thriving and not fall.

Of course! Entrepreneurs need retirement as well. Learning the concept of money and how to let your money work for you through leveraging will help.

Retirement does not need to means “abstinence from work”. People retire from tedious 9-5 jobs to do what they actually love. So, if you are an entrepreneur and you love what you do, that means you must be having fun. What you could do is to reduce the workload for yourself while still being in the job.

Yes, they should retire. Retirement is not about employment or self-employment, it has much to do with living the last days of your life to the fullest.

I think if anyone is faced with retiring from active labour when they notice it's getting hard for them to keep up, or working till death.

I believe the answer to this question is obvious, for what's the point of working if at 90 you have made systems that can sustain you for the rest of your days?

Certainly, at some point, the entrepreneur should consider retiring and diversifying into less strenuous activities that sharpens the mind and health, when age begins to take it's toll.

Yes, everyone should retire or at least slow down significantly at a certain age. I can't imagine working as hard as I am now till the day I die. A person may love their job, but those years are meant for doing everything you've always wanted to do, kind of like finishing your bucket list.

I think that being an entrepreneur actually sets one up to retire even earlier. In order for you to have succeeded, you would have to have built enough of an empire to keep your legacy running in the first place. The concept of self-employment is particularly risky because you can either retire way earlier or later but the general case would be earlier since one eventually wouldn't require genuinely being present for the company to function

Yes, entrepreneurs should retire from stressful careers and plan ahead. However, they should keep working if it's not so stressful, and they enjoy the work.

I think entrepreneurs need to retire too. The wise retirement of an entrepreneur is investigating fixed assets that will still help them earn while they are enjoying themselves in their homes.

Everybody deserves a brake at some point in life, so yes the entrepreneurs too needs to retire. Although it may take far more planning than those who retire from being employees, but overall the entrepreneurs also need a brake off from being in control of things.

I'm not sure there would be economic growth outside of entrepreneurs. They are an i.ntegral and major part of the workforce. So yeah. But this has a downside, often the dreams for with the owner.

I think that it's entirely up to you and your situation. If you feel like saving up and retiring then it'll be good for you. Some people want to keep on going as long as possible and being an entrepreneur allows you more freedom to do that if you want
