I like how authentically Lara Reznik described the world of the 1960s. I also like that Maris and Mantle somehow filled the void in young Marshall Elliot's heart. I like that the characters are unique and striking, especially Roger Maris.

I love the book's use of switching perspectives to tell the story from the lead characters' perspectives. It's also impressive that the author managed to incorporate historical events into telling this fictional story. It made it appear real.
Marshal's character is a promising one and I am glad he got the support he needed.

This is a fiction story of unlikely friendships, which includes true-life events.there is a wonderful execution of the characters. Each of them brings something unique and relatable to the story, Her excellent recreation of the suspense at the games was engaging.
