I adore this book a lot. I gained knowledge from it. Marshall Elliot taught me, among other things, that maintaining unpleasant friendships will have an impact on our ambitions and course in life. And we must recognize that our choice of companions will influence how far we can go in life.

Readers who enjoy baseball would love this book as the storyline includes famous baseball players and is based on true events. I personally like the different character perspectives because it gives the book more depth as u see each character impacts the others, and you can really relate to each character better. Congrats on the BOTD!

This novel seems to be a good combination of a coming-of-age story, set in the 1960s, and the true-life events surrounding Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle's bid to beat Babe Ruth's record. I expect it will appeal to a variety of readers, particularly those that are fans of Baseball. Thanks for a great review on this book.

I'm not a fan of baseball but the bookseems to be interesting, especially when it includes real-life events which is always exciting. Besides the topics of friendship, love, determination, and growth in the book will definitely attract lots of people. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Am interesting storyline. I've heard a lot about Babe Ruth even though I'm not a fan of the sport. It would be nice to know what Marshall goes through and how the title of the book was decided. Nice review.

I love historical fiction and sports, although baseball is one of the games that I don't understand how it is played but still will add the book to my reading list.
Nice review

Historical fiction set in the 1960s is new to me. I also do not know much about baseball. Therefore, I am curious to find out more about these two things through the book. I am also curious about the first-person perspective that switches between four characters, Marshall, Roger, Mickey, and Big Julie. This book sounds fantastic so congratulations on BOTD.

Set in the 1960s and told in alternating viewpoints, today's BOTD is a historical fiction novel about baseball, friendship, perseverance, and personal growth. Readers will love each of the well-developed characters and what they add to the story as a whole. Thank you so much for your review! :-)

A fictional story of unlikely friendships that is based on true-life events can be found in the book "The M&M Boys" by Lara Reznik. I enjoy reading the books based unlikely true life events.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I don’t know anything about baseball, but this book seemed like it would be a beautiful coming-of-age novel. I don't think the mix-ups would really affect my reading experience, so I'll give this book a go.
