B-Side by Janis Jones is an action and crime thriller novel about Cassandra 'Casey' Terranova and her partner Mara Bays, who is a police detective. Casey has everything set up already to enjoy the euphoria of her joyous day. She had everything planned and fixed and was only waiting for her partner, Mara to get home. Casey heard a knock and went ahead to open the door for the 'delivery man' who came to deliver a bouquet of flowers; Casey's favorite. What was meant to be a smooth delivery soon turned into a full blown assault by the self-acclaimed delivery man and on Casey. Mara was miles away, and Skeezy, taking a bath some distance away, was not aware of what was happening. The police and medic were around and taking charge of the situation by the time Mara arrived, but unfortunately, the culprit had escaped already. Mara determinedly decided to do everything possible to catch the culprit, and his detective partner, Derek Jenssen promised to help as well. Amid the development of new evidence and leads, it remains to be seen who the real culprit could be.

B-Side is very interesting and full of suspense. I particularly enjoyed the little humour introduced in-between the conversations by the author. The investigative plot in the novel is suspenseful and keeps the readers glued and guessing. I also like the entire plot of the novel; it is straightforward and not complicated. I also like how the author uses less ambiguous words and the way the author explains all the moments of action is very commendable. I also like the way the author gradually introduced the different characters. without creating confusion. The way the author breaks down the scenes into small chapters for easy comprehension also makes the book easier to comprehend.

B-Side is really interesting, action-filled and captivating. I find no fault in the book. The words used are unambiguous, and the gradual introduction of the characters prevents a mix-up. The way the author sequentially explains each action as they unfold is proof that the book was well-plotted.

I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book is a proper crime and action thriller novel. Also, the plot of the book is perfect and, the characters and all the actions are properly described to ensure easy comprehension.

I would recommend B-Side to people who are interested in reading action thriller stories during their leisure time.
