This sounds like an engaging historical novel. I love that the book setting is in Egypt and the characters are well developed. Jack and James seem like interesting characters. Great review!

Seems a Good Historical Fiction book as it May take one's Attention on Figuring how Jack and Jamie would come through this Strange and Heroic journey. It Suits to individuals such as I Who Love Heroic Stories. Then it worth a rating of 4 out of 4

Historical fiction doesn’t usually catch my interest but this one sounds good with suspense and adventure themes in it.

I have read the third book in the trilogy and enjoyed the author's writing style. This installment looks like a great way to be introduced to the characters and learn some history too. Thank you for an excellent review.

A historical fiction focused on crime and espionage sounds really interesting. I like the fact that this book seems to be fast-paced, making the adventure and mystery even more thrilling. I also like that the agents of all these different countries are involved. You can really distinguish the different communication styles and the way they deal with crime.

A book set during this period always interest me as I am always curious to find out as those people lived during those war times. With the various lessons , it teaches, I certainly will add this to my shelf.
This review has given me insights into what to expect from the book and I'm looking forward to it.
Great review.

I enjoyed reading your review, Rosemary. As a fan of historical fiction, I don't usually choose war stories, but the main characters, Jacko and James, sound intriguing.

Yes, Kater really knows how to use suspense and humour in a book. This book was absolutely lovely. With an intense situation at its start, it's hard not to become absorbed with this book.

Wow, historical fiction truly suits my taste, and I'm eager to read more books about soldiers at war. This book has a lot to offer fans of historical fiction, and I find the inclusion of guitar sheet music in the narrative to be a new touch.
