Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure by Sylvie Beljanski has definitely been an eye-opener. It's a book written by the daughter of a scientist who dedicated his life to medical research. They allege he could have a safe treatment that helps a lot with different types of cancer. Sylvie takes us on the journey of their discovery of this treatment, and it hasn't been an easy one. She decided to write this book in her father's honor. She made a promise to him before his death to keep the legacy and continue his journey, and so she did. The writer explains the stages of the discovery; how it started, and how it was received by the medical community. She also mentions the great obstacles her father faced and the ones she faced herself after his death.

What I liked the most about this book was the courage and determination that Sylvie and her family had. She was neither a scientist nor a doctor; nevertheless, she carried the flag and continued her family's attempt to help sick people. The personal experience and details captivated me. I see that Sylvie could put together the occurrences nicely. The book is well written and not boring. It's also well edited. I liked that they explained many of the medical terms mentioned in the book to enable an average reader to follow-up. I also like that it gives me hope that such a fatal disease can be cured.

The only thing I have against this book is that it is also a personal story. I don't know how credible these events could be. From what I've read in the book, I find it a fascinating breakthrough; but is this the whole truth? I think that this will need more digging.

I rate this book four out of four stars, as I was interested and nicely informed throughout the whole time of my reading. Not only that, but I liked the content and the idea; I also like what this family has produced for humanity.

This book can suit many people. It can be for patients with cancer and some other diseases, as a light in the tunnel. It can be used by scientists and doctors as an informative source for unusual treatments. Furthermore, it can even be for people who would love to have general knowledge of how cancer is usually treated and how this new approach to treatment looks at things.
