Most families have at least one member who is overweight. If you are lucky, and your family doesn't have one, you must know at least one relative or friend trying to lose weight. However, the diets recommended by the doctor and some physical exercises rarely work. Some doctors usually recommend processed food that, most of the time, does more harm than good. Have you ever wondered how to lose weight without giving up your favorite food, such as beer? Have you ever wondered why you still can't lose enough weight even after doing everything recommended by the doctor? The God Food Diet by Miami Mike is a non-fictional self-help book that tries to shed some light on why the doctors may have gotten it all wrong when it comes to weight loss practices.

This book has one hundred and forty-six pages. It is divided into ten chapters. Although the chapters are interdependent, each chapter tackles a unique subject and, more often than not, can be read independently. The book is written from the first-person point of view and in both the past and the present tenses. Although it's generally an instruction book, the author also shares his experiences.

After struggling to lose weight through several weight loss programs, the author almost got into depression because they didn't work. For this reason, he came up with a program to help him effortlessly shed some weight. Although it took him close to two years to lose 60lb, his program has ensured that he didn't gain any weight ever since. This program has also increased his life expectancy by twenty years. What exactly does this program entail? How is it different from the traditional programs?

I liked several things about this book. First, the author includes several colorful pictures in this book. This makes it visually appealing, even before you read it. Second, the author seems to have put in a lot of time and resources in writing this book. This is clear in how different keywords are either in bold or underlined. For this reason, the text reads smoothly, as each word appears to have been meticulously chosen so that it fits the narration and delivers the author's thoughts as accurately as possible. Third, the author's writing style is full of humor and hilarious acronyms. You can, therefore, easily read this book with a big smile on your face. Since I only found one grammatical error while reading, this book seems to have been professionally edited.

Although this is a brilliant book, it has some flaws. First, as mentioned above, some keywords and phrases are either underlined or written in bold. Although this makes the book easy to read, it also makes it look sketchy. Second, the chapter titles are written in tiny fonts. One can, therefore, easily read through the book without realizing that they are already in a different chapter. Third, although this program worked for the author, some readers may not agree with it, especially considering that the author also encourages the consumption of bread and beer.

In conclusion, this is a brilliant book that simplifies the process of losing weight. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. Although I noticed some flaws, they didn't affect my enjoyment. One can easily overlook them. I recommend it to anyone struggling to lose weight or anyone who wants to maintain their current body weight.

Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

This is a non-fictional self-help book that tries to shed some light on why doctors may have gotten it all wrong when it comes to weight loss practices. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD.

This book sounds interesting. I can always use a good weight loss book! I wish it didn't take so long to lose weight on this diet! That is when I get discouraged and, I dare say, most people do! As a retired nurse, I know it is better to lose weight slowly because the chance of it returning is less, but it is difficult to persevere when you don't see progress! I need to read this book and find out how the author accomplished his goals! Thanks for the great review!

Weight loss diets rarely work. This book's proposal seems to have a different focus since it does not ask you to give up foods such as bread and beer. Given that it worked for the author, it would be interesting to see what it is about. Surely, there will be many more to whom these diet tips can be useful.
