Nothing as exciting as Carla's Queen Anne choc. cherries, just a bottle of milk and a cantaloupe.

Those Queen Anne chocolate cherries bring back some memories. Back about 1963 I was living in a motel, and every Friday night they would show old scary monster movies on TV. Every Friday I would get a box of Queen Annes and bottle of Pepsi and watch those old movies and top it off with a King Edward cigar. I felt like king for a night.

Shared them all through Thanksgiving...and now...they're gone...(must get more...@@)

@BH Laughing...I remember nights like that years ago..."me time". Pick up a good cut of steak...some fresh asparagus spears...a baked sweet potato slathered with real butter and a bottle of Coke. And a wrapped chocolate covered Cello's cherry. Some sappy chick flick and a deep bubble bath! Yes. Queen for the Evening! LOL...

Those were the good old days. I bought a big bag of tomatoes from a guy going from door to door a few minutes ago. I kind of overbought, but I couldnt pass up about 10 lbs. of tomatoes for 10 pesos, thats about 85 cents. Ill never eat all of them before they go bad, but thats OK. I can give some to my neighbors, they do a lot of heavy-duty cooking and give me a plate of dinner a couple times a week. Its a good trade.

The last thing that I didn't purchase was new fascias. They need doing. A saleslady has just gone around the house, in the rain, estimating. She then quoted me a price. When I said that I'd already arranged for another quote, her price went down. The more I said that I'd wait to see the other quote, the lower her price got. Her never-to-be-repeated price finally got to 57% of her first quote, provided I accepted right there and then. So did I buy there and then? Just how stupid do I look? Perhaps I shouldn't ask questions like that!

Four books from the Cancer Care Charity Shop - including joy, oh joy Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown - read it years and years ago and absolutely adored it. I never intended parting from it but then between college & various house moves it went missing somewhere & I have been intending to buy a copy but never got around to it.
For a second-hand book it's in pristine condition and best of all the four books only cost me EUR2.00

You certainly managed, to snap up a bargain from your local charity shop :D . Tonight, I purchased 2 sundresses being auctioned on eBay. I got a good deal too & can't wait to receive them in the post. The only thing is, I hope they fit?

If it is the animated film, I thought it was really cool & liked it a lot. However, if it is the film which features Edward Norton? It was still good, but not quite as enjoyable in my opinion as the cartoon one. Although they tell a different story, both are a little bit sad in parts (if I remember correctly).

Either way, I hope you enjoy your film.

A jug of drinking water, some limes, a couple grapefruit, a kilo of tortillas, loaf of whole-grain bread, and some verde salsa.
