The pace of the story is extremely important in mystery novels. So the author doesn't reveal too much at the start and it keeps the reader interested to figure out until the very end. Good to know that was the case here. I don't mind that there weren't many characters in the book and that book is more focused on the plot. It seems like Quinn's retirement became intriguing and it was filled with many things happening to him. Great review.

From the excerpt, the case itself appears like it will be quite the thriller. Made more so by being introduced to what I think will be the culprit so early on. It gives the feeling that I will be wanting to scream at the detective to see what’s in front of him.

'Official Review: From Muddy Water' by Allan Davis is a good outline to the action thriller story of the book for readers. It serves as an appropriate introduction to the book for keen readers. The point that the story is centered around Detective Quinn and his strange tenant Kirsten is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the story concludes satisfactorily, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book is a compelling, character-driven crime thriller mystery!

Early, or unexpected, retirement can be quite challenging; especially when other unfavourable events and occurrences set in. Quinn's condition represents quite a significant number of people out there in the society. The author's development of Quinn and Kirsten is worth praising.

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out the connection of Kirsten to Quinn’s life and how their lives would change after they meet. Will Quinn’s life change for the better of the seemingly dark mystery surrounding her further push his life down. There’s only one way to find out, isn’t there? Happy reading to everyone!

It is so nice that in this series a character finds themselves out of a negative situation. I’m sure many will be inspired to do the same. Congratulations on book of the day!
