I'm usually not interest in this kind of book. But the review is precise and got me more curious about the investigation. I'm looking forward to dive into this book. The compelling plot and the mystery around of both main characters would keep the readers in the pace to find the answer at the end of the book. Great review!

It seems there is more to Kristen than meets the eye. I'm curious to know how this new crime mystery will be solved. Congrats on the BOTD.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting detective novel, following a retired police detective that is suffering from a divorce and the appearance of a mysterious woman when he is hired by the families of missing girls to solve a cold case. Will he succeed in giving the families peace? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

What an interesting complex mystery plot. A cave, a retired police officer, a closed case without body recovery, a tenant with eccentric manners, and parents who don't believe a case has been solved. Those are all elements that make this story appealing to crime story readers. Great review!

Kristen sounds like a character I would love to read about and get into their head to know what they're thinking and what they're up to. But from the review posted, it's obvious the author has a way of throwing the readers off balance just when we think we've cracked the case and figured out the whole plot. What an interesting plot!

What’s Kirsten’s deal? It seems like she knows what’s going on. I hop Quinn can find out what really happened to the missing girls.

Who doesn't love mysteries? There seem to be quite a few in this story. The mysterious Kirsten, missing girls, an abandoned house, and a solved case that has not been solved make this book worth reading. Retired Detective Quinn has a lot on his hands. Kudos on a wonderful review.

The review was excellently written. It makes me want to read this book for sure Congrats on BOTD! :tiphat: I found that it started off like a horror movie so I am not fully sure I want to finish reading it as I dislike horror movies.

"Muddy Water" is a story about a former Detective of the Toronto Police Service. Detective Quinn is retired and recently divorced and he lives alone. His alimony payments are quickly depleting his early retirement pension and his business as a PI is off to a slow start. To make matters worse he is haunted by his last case as a homicide detective. His life is further changed by his new tenant Kirsten who he feels like he has met before but can't connect her face with a past case. The plot revolves around Quinn and Kirsten. The story draws you in and I cannot wait to see how it ends. Very good review.

Early retirement and a side gig is a private investigator sounds like it is too good to be true for detective Quinn. I can't wait to see what's up with the new tenant and the disappearance of the girls.
